Desert Rose Design recently sponsored the Celebrity Cast Party event by Hubbard
Street Dance Chicago, donating our services to provide all graphic design needs
for the event.
Hubbard Street Dance Chicago is one of the most renowned dance institutions in the
world, featuring dancers who display unparalleled versatility and virtuosity in
performances that inspire, challenge and engage audiences worldwide.
The Celebrity Cast Party is a celebration honoring Chicago’s GLBT Community,
and it took place on April 5, 2009. This event began with an HSDC Spring Series
performance at the Harris Theater, followed by a “cast party” with HSDC dancers
at the Fairmont Chicago.
Helen Levinson (President of Desert Rose) and Lauren Trela (Director of Business
Development at Desert Rose) both served on the Host Committee for the event as well.
Other event sponsors included Exelon, Center on Halsted, Windy City Media Group,
National City and MiniBar with additional support from John Kerney and Tropical
Rentals, Inc.
Proceeds from the event went to support the dancers of HSDC and the nationally recognized
education and outreach programs.
