Desert Rose Design has been selected as a Prize
Winner in the Office Depot® Adopt a Small Business Contest.
This contest awarded more than $1 million in prizes by recognizing 500 small businesses
nationwide for their smart survival strategies. To enter, a small business had to
upload an original two-minute video at www.TheSurvivalofTheSmartest.com and explain the smart things
their business does to survive these challenging economic times.
Desert Rose Design created a humorous video showcasing the fake extremes the company
went to in order to survive the economic hardships. These extremes were suddenly
lifted with the delivery of Office Depot® supplies. After the humor was over, Helen
Levinson, President of Desert Rose Design, and Kathy Steele, Vice President of Desert
Rose Design, spoke briefly on the true ways that Office Depot® has helped the firm
survive.
“The submission was truly a team effort,” said Kathy Steele, Vice President of Desert
Rose Design. “It gave us a chance to try something a little different than the challenge
of a client project, and it definitely gave us plenty of laughs in a year where
it has sometimes been difficult to be optimistic.”
As a Prize Winner, Desert Rose Design will receive $1,300 in Office Depot® gift
cards, one year of Tech Depot™ Services Tech Support valued at $599.99 and a $110
