Helen Levinson Speaks at the FMI-GMA Supply Chain Conference
Lombard, IL (January 25, 2012) - Helen Levinson spoke at this month’s FMI-GMA Supply Chain Conference, which took place January 24-25, in Orlando, Florida, with two presentations,
“What You Don’t Know About Social Media: the Internal Perspective” and “The New Social Media ‘Culture Club’… who is a member from your organization?
Helen’s first presentation, “What You Don’t Know About Social Media,” was based on overcoming the fear that some employers and managers have around social media.
Employees are spending more work time on social media than ever, and as internet access grows and becomes more mobile-friendly, it will be nearly impossible to keep employees from engaging in social networks in the workplace.
In this session, Helen put a twist on this issue to show how the growing social media trend can actually work in your favor.

Her second session, co-presented with Ryan Neville, Director of Internet and New Media at Hy-Vee, was “The New Social Media ‘Culture Club’… who is a member from your organization?”
Both Helen and Ryan pulled from their intimate knowledge of internal communication hubs and shared how social media can facilitate communication to solve potential conflicts of interest, encourage trust, and promote a community of understanding and knowledge.
